I need help or some ideas to work around this issue, so please read carefully, I'll try to be as clear and detailed as possible, to make responding easier please refer to a number if you are going to respond to the statement:
1. In our company, we have different products available for clients and using OnTime we're making each of our products into a Project.
2. Some of our clients only have contracts/access to SOME of our products.
3. I've already asked and apparently there is no way to allow clients to access multiple projects aside from setting their access to "All Projects".
4. To accommodate for this, I've created a filter to prevent clients from viewing any cards/items that they do not have access to via assigning different security roles depending on the company they're from.
5. Unfortunately, selecting a Project is required so they are still able to select any project they want to when they submit an item. The filter prevents them from seeing the card once they've submitted it, but I don't want them to be able to select options they do not have access to.
6. In order to accommodate for THIS, I could create a project specifically for client-ticket submission and items could be reviewed from that project and moved once assessed.
7. However, let's say they select the project that is only assigned to clients, I would still want them to indicate for which product their ticket is about.
8. In order to accommodate for THAT, I could create a custom field in the field template that could be a custom picklist that has the names of the products for them to select.
9. Is there any way to create a template or custom field that only certain clients are able to access?
10. I wish to have the client be able to select the option for the product that their company has access to, is this possible?
Please advise, thanks
